So, to begin.

I don’t understand you, you don’t

understand me.

Do we speak the same language?

Sometimes.

As a pirate is both rebel and villain,

A leader both followed and scrutinized,

So a liberal is a dictator and pacifist.

A conservative a pragmatist and fascist.

I see a brave unconventionality; you see a

miser.

You see historic relevance; I see an

over-extrapolation.

There is no spectrum, no finesse.

You are either A or Z.

There is no time for understanding.

You are either moron or idiot,

Puking hate or puking hatred.

Can news be boring again?

I’m sick of the sugar rush everyday,

but I know it’s your best-seller.

When all you have is the same cake,

you forget the taste of the earth.

(I’ve forgotten, was that moon-landing

thing called Space-Race-Gate or

“Ten Things You Won’t Believe are Floating in the Sky”?)

I think if we all had a more balanced diet of facts,

with no added synthetic opinions,

and do away with the extra garnishes

crowding the plate,

we could be culturally healthy again.

Though we would have to still exercise.

Our rights, our minds, restraint, in humility.
